exhaust is to loud lol
well i got my headers in yesterday and the car is unbeleivably loud now. some may hate it but i love it lol im nuts. but sadly i cant afford all the tickets and i would also like some back pressure (i have mac longtubes, vrs off road x, and slp lm1 catback, with not resonators) so im looking for a set of mufflers any recomendations i dont want them to quiet the car too much cause i love the loudness but its just too much for the street.
any help would be appreciated thanks guys max |
borla, magnaflow, mac, or flowmaster would sound good
You could also just get LM2's or powerflows so you wont have to change your catback.
yeah i might go that route cause i dont want to change my catback i love the lm1 sound i would have to change it if i just got like flowmaster mufflers? and i do have the lm1 resonaters in my garage would those i\even make a difference?
mac flowpaths...
Any chambered muffler would help you.
Get a mac catted h pipe.
I TOLD YOU IT WOULD BE LOUD AS SIN!!!! I just put my flowpaths in today from MAC and it's kinda akward i'm not used to the sound yet.
either weld in some cat's or get some powerflows. i am hoping that my LM 1s wont sound too loud with 03gtmustang's headers/midpipe im looking to buy
P flow

my head hurts just thinking about how loud that set up is. LOL
you may think I'm nuts but what i do is run the slp power flos. They are quit a drop in sound but I find them nice. I switch back and forth from them to my lm1s atleast once every 3 months. Its like getting a new exhaust every 3 months. They are a straight through muffler. Its not as loud(no where near) but have a deeper tone to them.

Blake I have videos up on this post with Powerflos and trust me they are quiet in the inside of the cabin. I am shocked that they sound that loud on the outside as I cant tell. My brothers LM1s with stock midpipe gave me a headache after 15mins. Im not sure how they will sound without LT headers.
well i decided to just get the power flows and ill post a exhaust vid once i put them in. rite now it is just insanly loud my friend was driving next to me and he said that he had a ringing in his ear for the better part of the day after being that close to it lol. whatever i just hope that it sounds good with my jumbled up setup.
but thanks a lot guys ill post that vid up soon max |

I have stock header, catted X, and LM1's. You car sounds a lot like mine...nearly the same. It is hard to get a sense for volume on these clips. I might be tempted to trade someone for either LM-2's or Powerflos for my LM-1's. |
Since you do not have LTs it should be more quiet than what I have. I would buy the Powerflo used on ebay or local and sell the LM1s.
