after market exhaust install at a shop?

Any idea what price range I should be looking in?

Is it going to be more then 200?

What is it that you're installing, a cat back? If so, it shouldn't take more than 3 hours tops so that's your labor cost. Same for mid-pipe. Headers though are a different story. Personally, I'd buy the $50 jack/jackstand set from Sears and do it yourself. It'll cost $50 (plus tools) which is going to be cheaper than labor.

ya id do it myself its damn near impossible to mess up.......actually i cant think of 1 way to mess it up lol

well actually there are a few ways to mess up. like on a catback, the previos owner can lose the hangers after the flowmasters and make them hang too low. Or on midpipes you can strip the bolts of the manifold. but those are the only 2 things i can think of

For just a catback, should not be more then $75.

wow, nothing I said was meant to say anything about you or any post you made. I said "cutting so what" to make him feel less worried about any part of the procedure so he might feel more comfortable.

v8stang22 04-26-2007 07:03 PM

the guy charged 180 for 2 hoursish.. lol 95$ rate

I know it takes like an hour to install maybe less for some one who knows what they are doing what an ass. However I love the sound so i'm happy. :)

Wow, what a rip, IMO.

i got an off road h-pipe and flowmaster mufflers installed for 140, but if you need headers installed its gonna be alot more cause its a pain puttin headers on cause of the tight space. more than likely they would have to lift the motor out and do it, but if no headers then it shouldn't be that much
