throttle body & plenum

ok i was looking into getting the accufab throttlebody & plenum combo, but unsure of which one to get, 70mm or 75mm. all i have at the moment but not installed is the jlt rai, so nothing major on mods to the motor. and while i am asking, is it really worth upgrading to the bigger rotors or is it fine to stick with the same size just upgrading to the powerslot rotors, and pads? thanx for any help guys.

just get whatevers the cheapest 70mm combo. they are all 1hp from eachother, but accufab is the best if you have the cash.

for the brakes, dont bother replacing the OEM stuff. spend 400 and buy the cobra kit up front. results are unparalleled to any replacment stuff you can buy. stick with the oem stuff instead of replacing things with that.

Def go with the Cobra brake kit. I use a Dragon TB and Plenum...works for me. Do SS brake hoses while yer in there.

go with a 70mm TB....I think the 75mm can lean you out a little bit.

youll be looking at $250 plus for a brake job, the $400 for the much better stuff is worth it. i just did it to my fox friday night, so my pads still arnt seated and i havnt beat on it yet, but its much stronger then the 99+ gt stuff i did have on it...

I agree with every single response... that's fugging weird.

Get the cobra brakes.. you'll chip your teeth appreciating the incredible stopping power upgrade. I use a professional products plenum and TB... don't use them. It took me a couple hours of fixing things to get it to bolt on. Had to chase threads, file casting flash, open up holes to bigger sizes... it was a multi-hour job to finish a 15 minute task.

You can get the Cobra, 10th Anniversary, Bullit, and Mach brakes at www.buyfordracing.com for cheaper than anywhere else by quite a bit. They even come with stainless lines but imo they arent very good lines. I had both leak at the joint between the hard lines and the new stainless lines. I went back to the stock lines for now.

But even still they are a better deal than anywhere else.

I think my 10th anniversary kit was $350 and its $450 or so anywhere else I looked.

buyforracing.com is great but they sell defective brake lines w/ their kits. However, the other components that came w/ the kit arrived in perfect shape. Also, performancepartsinc.com sells the kits for $399 so if you are worried that you may get a bad part from buyfordracing, you can try them.
