Default Help: i smell gas

I just put in my CAI the other day and ever since my last fill-up ive been smelling gas inside the car. I also smell it in the trunk. When i went under the car near the gas tank there was no smell. The vacuum hose thing that goes from my engine to the intake tore the other day and so i was forced to tape it up (going to get more tubing tonight). Dont really know what that tube even does, could that be the problem?

Any help is appreciated, thanks
