removing strut tower brace for cold ai intake?

i think its time to put a cold air intake on my 97 cobra. i was looking around and i noticed some require you to remove the strut tower brace. is this something i should be looking to do? and what kind of intake do you guys reccommend i get?

I have a STB on my 03 and I could'nt use the upper tube of my JLT RAI.I've considered removing mine too but I would hate too at the same time.

You need to get one that is not round and is the same shape as factory with the flat spot on top.

there's no reason to remove a part that kinda works as advertised so you can use one that doesn't work at all as advertised.

Haha, I agree with red. Both mods dont do much. Id be willing to say that the strut brace works better then the CAI. However, on a drag race/ street car, the strut brace is pointless.
