Where is the fuel filter at?
I have a 99gt and would like to know where the fuel filter is at so that I can replace with a new one. I got 99,400 miles on the car and it needs it along with a tune up too. I want to do all this myself.

I would also suggest switching off the inertia switch in the truck of the car and also bleed the pressure like the bullitt archive suggest....then start the car and let it idle until there is no more fuel getting to through the lines, which will cause the car to die on it's own and should minimize the amount of fuel that is released when changing the filter.

Be prepared for a good amount of gas to be dumped onto yourself.

well whatever you do... wash the gas off your arm as soon as possible or it'll feel like it's on fire.

shamefully... I know exactly what it feels like. pulled the filter while standing directly under it... got a nice gas soaked crotch. Gawd that hurts.

I don't know, I think my skin is immune to it from all the times I got gas on me while working on my moped. Thank God I don't live in CA otherwise I would have had cancer by now.

Really, its not that much gas, just pull it out and have some paper towels under it.
