well since I have done just about everything else engine a trans wise, I want to concentrate on suspension and Brakes, Is it worth the money to get the 10th aniversary brakes? I know they will look sweet but how you do guys like the way they perfomr as opposed to gt and v6 brakes?

BTW I found them at buyfordracing.com for 359 if anyone is interested

I dont know about brakes I thought the stock ones work fairly well......I think you should start working on your rearend. You have a good amount of power that you need to stick to the ground or work on the suspension first get some good adjustables. Brakes can wait IMO.

That's where I got mine, however, beware of the stainless lines they sell. They sold me a defective set that wouldn't seal at the hardline's flange no matter what I did. Other than that, great people to deal with. As for performance, I can definately feel a difference from higher speeds but I can't give you an accurate opinion since the pads in the rear on mine are really worn and I haven't done anything to activate the ABS yet.
P.S: You may want to consider their Mach 1 brake kit for $50 less.

Get brakes to contain all that horsepower. R3dn3ck chimes in about brakes in 3...2...1

My rear end is fine for now, I have 410's and i just put in upper and lower control arms, a new differential will be down the road but i dont feel like dropping a thousand on a rear end, i want to do some small things first

the rear end should be fine unless i drop the clutch at 6k on slicks

I can't believe you even have to ask this question. Without a doubt they're worth it.

The kit on buyfordracing.com, does it include the brackets? They're selling it ALOT cheaper than anyone else is!

I helped a friend put cobra brakes on his GT. I thought we used different brackets. My memory may be alittle rusty though, it's been about a year since we did it.

The bracket comes w/ the calpier already installed. The kit from them includes everything to throw it on (besides brake fluid) but like I said, be cautious about the brake lines since they may have gotten a bad batch (since mine were defective and I bought them a month ago).

Yes, they're worth it, but if you're buying from buyfordracing.com beware. The lines they ship are defective and won't seal up. I called them to ask for a refund and they basically cursed at me and told me they won't replace anything. They're complete ******** with no support what-so-ever. It's worth it to just buy from MT for the extra $100 and customer support.

Wow, and I was considering to give them a call so I can return them. When did you buy the kit? It could just be a bad set they got...

They were the same way with me!! Not only were the lines wrong, there were a couple of spots where the caliper paint had been chipped and there was touch up paint put on to cover it! DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM buyfordracing.com !!!
Spend your money at MT/AM !

My only issue was the paint since getting the whole thing for $400 shipped is damn good. However, know I need to buy lines so I'm regreting that I didn't buy it from another place for $400 w/o lines. Anyway, is it possible that the lines are for another car? If so which?

The mustangs brake lines are universal for cobra, bullitt, mach 1, gt, v6...

they're for the right kit but they're just bad. Aparently they knew about this problem and it wasn't just me but they're just selling them anyways. That's why the kit is so cheap I'm sure. I ended up just getting new banjo bolts and using the stock lines.

I used the bolts that came w/ there kit and the stock lines as well. But I have to say, that's very ballsy of them and knowing this, I will never buy from them again.
