Default seafoam treatment

so me and my buddy just did the seafoam on my v6 because we suspected there was some carbon buildup. after 2 bottles into the vaccum hose, its still shootin out a good amount of white smoke. it was pretty cool to see all that smoke, but after 55k miles, should there really be THAT much?

Ummm read the directions 3/4 of a bottle not 2. And too much of it may eat away your seals. You may have botched your motor up some.

yea only 3/4's of the bottle in thru the pcv valve and the rest in ur gas tank. it should still smoke for a while unless you drive the car decently hard, which is what your supposed to do

I think you could poor 5 bottles in a brand new car and it's still going to smoke.

As far as the gas tank, I thought there were two separate kinds of Seafoam, one for the pcv and the other for the gas tank?

I've done it twice, half a bottle through the PCV both times. Also I took off the IAC and cleaned that with carb cleaner when I did my fender bender re-build, that also gives off some white smoke, but not nearly as much.

I dont see why you would pour 5 bottles into a new car you would most likely end up damage it. I hope you dont plan on doing that to your Vibe. The amount of smoke that comes out is based on how much buildup there is.

There is only one type of seafoam and the one type can be fed through the PCV and/or the gas tank.

Ummm, I wasn't being serious. No **** you don't wanna do that. My point is, even if you poored that much into a car, I guarantee it'll still smoke.

Yup, cause you are seeing the seafoam burning off.
