Thanks alot bro. I just went to modular depot and they said the same thing you said. Do you know where I can get the directions so I can print them out and have a shop do it for me. Oh and would this be good on a dd?

Thanks alot man, I did some searching and came up with this: http://www.factorytechtransmissions....PROD&ProdID=20
Is this the jmod ready to pop in?

Heres my write up, http://www.dndgarage.net/jmod.htm Perfect for a DD. Its easy to do yourself. Buying that plate would be a waste of money. Youd still have to do everything yourself, and drilling the plate is just like drilling anything else. PM me if you need help.

Thanks for the help bro I really appreciate it. I think I'm going with the
4R70W valve body kit from bc-automotive. Thanks again.

PA Valve body and a tranny cooler of your choice:Woot:

Tell me how the PA one is better then the BC Automotive one? What is the difference?

Lentech is working on a custom one with a trans brake that is a lot better then the PA one with trans brake.

It's just a preference of mine that's all. Lentech has great stuff just as good if not better or just on par with PA who has great trannies, valve bodies, converters. So yea it's just a preferance how much does the BC unit go for?

03gtmustang 11-12-2006 09:04 PM

"This complete kit is priced at $225 for 1993-1995 models, $250 for 1996-1998 and $300 for 1999-200X models. There is an additional $75 refundable core charge on all valve body kits that will be returned to you upon our receipt of your old valve body." http://bc-automotive.com/html/comple..._body_kit.html

With the PA valve body with the trans brake you have to push a botton to go in reverse. The Lentech one has fixed line pressure. Those are some negatives about those valve bodies. However, I dont think hes talking about trans breaks.

I wouldnt spend money on any valve body unless it was a trans break. Like I said, Lentech is making a great custom one right now. Its pretty much the Jmod with a break. You can modify your own valve body for about $5 plus the price of fluids. Its really pointless to spend $200 plus on a new one. Some people are scared to do it, and so was I. But I did it, I didnt have any problems, and it was pretty easy. Hell if people didnt sue people like crazy then Id offer to have people send their VB's to me and Id mod them.

stanger00 11-13-2006 01:33 AM

i wouldnt buy a valve body i would of done the j mod. but my tranny was on its last leg so i bought a built one from PA. sometime in the future a trans brake valve body is going in it.
