Question 93 stang - door locks dont work...

hello fellow mustang owners...

the power door buttons do not work on my moms 93 stang on either doors. Is this a bad actuator or did the actual buttons go bad? I want to know what to look for in ebay!

thanks!

Yeah... make sure you check for faulty wiring before the fuses.

Test the wires at the actuators for voltage when you hit the switch. No volts at the actuator means bad switch, blown fuse. If you get voltage, then it's the actuator (not uncommon on the foxes). If no voltage, then check for constant voltage to the window switch, if no voltage to the switch, then blown fuse (the thing that trumps it all is if there is a bad ground, then you just test different wire lengths to find where the circuit stops. 80% of the time it's the actuators.
