How long do stock clutches last?

I am going to save up for a set of BBK LT's, but I know that they must be removed for a clutch installation. I dont want to install these and then run into an issue with having my clutch go out soon after. I have 54,000 miles on the stock clutch. It does not slip (knock on wood) and doesnt seem to be going south. How long can I bet on it lasting?

I got about 120K on my stock clutch...

DAMN! Thats impresive for these cars.

I had a 1988 Audi with 193,000 and the stock clutch. It still was going strong when I sold it. I wonder if the current ower has had to replace it yet?

I probably could have let it go longer but the T.O. noise was getting annoying...

;)

For some reason, Ford clutches last forever. My dad's old F-150 (whom his co-worker now owns) has over 200,000 miles on the original clutch and is still fine. Don't worry, if you take care of it, you won't need one for a while.

EXACTLY as long as you kno how to drive and dont ride the clutch or beat the hell outa it--no reason you wont hit well over 100K on the stock one---theys cars have enough power to get you going so easily that it doesnt even require alota clutch work to get goin--heck half the ppl on here have 4:10's in ther car which should make that clutch last even longer

The stock clutch is a beast! I am still on the stocker with 105,000 miles on it. I know, I know its extremely too many miles for my car but I have to drive 60+ miles every day for work and traveling back and forth from school and home. I have sprayed the crap out of it with nitrous for more than 2 years. I have done some powershifting also, but the stocker still feels like new! I did have to replace the throwout bearing in it at around 60,000 and the mechanic told me the clutch looked like new. Im not planning on replacing it until I install my other engine I have when this one starts smoking (maybe never lol). These engines are tanks. Just switched over from Motorcraft 5-20 synthetic blend to Mobil 1 5-30 last week. It runs like new!:beerchug:

There is no specifit time frame for clutches to last per say...my stocker lasted me 101k miles before it took a dump on me...:D

first one blew up in <5000 miles, second one lost a hub spring, third one went with fragged tranny, fourth one is great... been about 30k and no major problems.
