It just dawned on me...

that it will suck if i get a flat tire in the front cuz the factory spare won't fit with the 13" brakes

B-rett 10-11-2006 09:13 AM

i dont even drive with spare......

reasons........
1. jack wont fit under lowered car
2. breaker bar doesnt fit my bullit lug nuts
so if i get tire im stranded for a lil bit lol

Thats not very smart. Im sure you can get that little jack under a pinch weld, and carry your own tools in the trunk.

SPend 100 bucks, get AAA. if yer car gets a flat they will tow it wherever you want free of charge.

Well, what you have to do in that case is remove a rim from the rear and put the spare on that, and then move that rim to the front flat one... Twice as much work but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Since the Cobras had 13" brakes, couldn't you just get a dounut from a Cobra?

I don't see why he couldn't....

Yes.

They're expensive... unless you find a cheap one on ebay, or see what Randy can do for you.

I don't carry a jack or a spare. If I'm going far, then I'll carry a spare of each size (275/40 and 245/45) and a little floor jack, but then again... if I'm going far I try not to use my car, and if I have to then I bring a pretty full tool kit.

This is weird..

since I'm lowered and have the SALEEN side skirts, I have a little floor jack. Sometimes I can fit it under neath the side near the rear, and other days I can't. It's like sometimes the car settles a little more than others.

I always jack up the car in the same spot in my garage, and when I can get it underneath, there's only about 0.5CM of space between the top of the jack and the sideskirt.

not if you have a 10.5 inch rim in the back.

if i get a flat i bust out the trusty cell call AAA and listen to some tunes......but that day hasnt came yet

bassman97 10-12-2006 05:07 PM

For reason I have the worst luck with tires. In one year, I already replaced all four do to either one being slashed from a pot hole, a huge bolt, kids scissors (the ones that aren't supposed to cut you but can slash a tire), etc. I think I should start thinking of signing up for AAA...
