Backspacing for slicks

Hey im buying a set of welds from a guy used with Mickey Thompson ET streets on them.

they have 5.5" backspacing

What kinda backspacing do i need for my SN95, btw i have a 99+ rearend so my rearend is 1.75" longer then stock

thanks!

Teal, 5.5 back spacing should be fine. I know the cobra r's are 5.95 back spacing so you should be alright. What size tire is on them anyhow? With your power i wouldnt go anymore than a 26" overall diamiter, too big will slow you down.

it has 28x10.5" slicks.

I've got 3.73's so i think i can turn'm

You should be alright then since they are only 10.5's. if you went to like a 28, you've be able to turn it no problem but it will slow you down in the long run...too much overall tire. My boy had 295's on his 17's and his car was slower in the 1/4. Switched to a 275 and he picked up speed and cut 1/2 off his time.
