Default Rear Control Arms

My rear control arms keep rattleing and its annoying ..I tightened them once and it went back to it again. Is there anything to stop it or should I get new control arms?

Sounds like a bad bushing. Aftermarket or stock? Uppers or Lowers?

CA's are loud even if they are working find. If you have a bad bushing, then they are even louder.

They are the stock lower control arms, I can move the car by pushing it from its side and you can hear them.

More than likely its the bushing then. My car with the stock rubber bushings has play side to side, but it doesn't make noise when I push it that way. FWIW, the uppers are what locate your rear axle side to side, and the lowers locate it front to rear. Your uppers may be shot, and its making the lower bushings bind. You'll need to crawl under and take a look to see if a bushing may be working its way out.

Check your rear sway bar , they have a tendecy to crack where they are bolted to the lower control arms.

I had this, everytime I hit a minor bump it sounded like my exhaust pipe was slamming into the axle tube...turned out to be that the stock rear sway bar snapped and was bouncing all over the damn place.

Its sometimes a solid thud when I turn.. other than that it does rattle so it very well could be that.
