you'll need a pretty good size turbo. If I were in your shoes I'd pop over to a supra forum and talk to those guys about turbo selection. They've usually got a few guys at each site that are skilled at compressor selection.

A good turbo system should cost around 6-8K but with a 5.4 I don't even know if it'll fit without considerable added fab time and cost, and with a 4V, I'd probably just go back to a 4.6L. We have to clearance the stock manifolds as it sits with the big modular so getting them to point forward will be a fun one and all the added piping....eeeek.

88mm turbo or twin t-66.... the single one is shown in the new mustangs and fast fords...... 800 to the rear wheels

more important than just the inlet size is the AR spec. That will define the operating characteristics of the compressor. Simply spec'ing a 88mm or a 66mm inlet is like saying you want a motor with 8 pistons... yeah it says something but not much. You can define the operating parameters with the AR spec like at what RPM it spools up full boost, how efficient it is in mid-RPM ranges, peak RPM, max total flow, etc... those are all important considerations that we don't usually have to deal with much in superchargers. Turbo is much more involved.

true... haven't spec'd one out yet as i'm waiting on a quote for headers? but deff round 4grand and up is the power band i'm loking for. the single would probally spool faster....
