Engine Interior Heat?
Hey guys, new stang owner here. My stang has alot of interior engine heat :devil2: when i ride. i put climate control on cold but still hot air comes through the vents. Is there any way to cool it down a bit or a bottom i'm missing for cool vent air?
Help:wallbash: |
so you dont ever get cold air even with the AC on?
|
may need to get the AC serviced and recharged.

A/C works fine, just when i ride i get regular hot engine air by the feet area (vents) with the windows open cruisin.
|
yes that is normal...think about it..its a small car...little room for stuff to fit...i ride w/ my windows down all the time...

All mustangs I have been in have that issue and its worse with headers. Im hoping that with my heat extractor hood and some insulation under the carpet it will cut it down as it feels like you legs are in a pot of hot water. Other thing you could do is go crusing with the AC at your legs.

Yes it would but many say it may also cause them to crack after time. Look into a thermal barrier under your carpet like dynomat or someone less expensive but be careful which one you get as you will be adding alot of weight as this insulation is heavy. The most important thing to consider when choosing one is that you want one that helps with heat and not only noise. I havnt done any research but after I get car back and if its bad I will start looking at into this as I live driving at night without AC. The best way to cool off when wearing jeans is to push them up to your knees :shifty:
