After Market Clutch Problems
I just recently added a SPEC stage 1 clutch to my 2003 GT and im stuck with about an inch of clutch. When taking off in first the car doesnt move until you have the pedal almost all the way out. I have had ppl try and adjust the clutch for me but im told its self adjusting and cant be adjusted. Would a after market cable fix my problem? I thinkin it should but I wanted to get some feed back before I made the purchase.

a cable, firewall adjuster and quadrant should hook you right up.

It sounds like you need a firewall cable adjuster and quadrant! I've got a problem with my clutch not engaging until it's almost to the floor and I was told by a clutch shop that I needed a cable adjuster and quadrant. I did a lot of research and from I've found the UPR firewall adjuster and quadrant are pretty damn good....can't go wrong with Steed either.
As for the aftermarket cable....keep your stock one, it's much stronger and aftermarket cables tend to stretch. |

neener. I would follow jj's advice and stick with OEM cables. Aftermarket cables have not proven very reliable upside stockers. I'd hope your cable is still good but you may want to get a new one if it's abraded or stretched somehow.
