Default steering wheel vibrations...

well, i drive a 2004 v6 automatic and as soon as i hit 3rd or 4th gear my steering wheel begins to vibrate...it's not unbearable or anything but it vibrates enough to make my watch jiggle on my wrist...just wondering what might be the cause of this? thx

peace

check yer tire pressure, either it is off, or your wheels need to be rebalanced.

could be a few things. Could be tires need balancing, could be tie rods are shot, could be other loose front suspension parts. Have you modded the suspesion at all or had tires done or have no had tires balanced lately?

it could be the others, however since he has an 04 It is probably tire pressure or balancing. My 04 started vibrating around 18k miles. I had already ordered new rims and tires so i just dealt with it. Once i swapped out the wheels with new tires the wobble left.

have u ever taken your car to the spray wash while the brakes and/or entire car is hot? this can result in warped rotors when you spray the wheel, which can give a slight shimmy in the steering wheel. happened to me once.
