Cutting Eibach springs>>>

Any one ever cut an Eibach rear spring? I want to lower the rear about another 1"-1.25" and thought about just taking 1/2 or a full coil off. I have just a hair over 2.4" of space between the top of the tire and wheel-well, so I thought a small drop would be good. Fronts ok, plus with the LTs I can't really drop any more.

Well nevermind this...I'm ordering Maxmotor Sports adjustable ex duty control arms, they allow a 1" drop and I can bring back to stock with a turn of a screw. I need control arms anyway. Will get the subframe cons as well.

big pimpin. Good choices.

You could get the same result by removing the spring isolators from the rear springs and that's free. Provided they're still on there in the first place.

They are, but looks like about maybe 1/4" drop if that. Plus, wouldn't the noise be bad? Metal against metal and all.

it's never been an issue for me for noise. I never really noticed any squeaking or grinding and in 40K miles on my 01 I never saw any wear at the spring perches. Modern coated springs help with that. Removing the both of them will drop it darn close if not a full 1/2". Make sure you clean out the pockets really well and you should be fine. I'd still get the arms, they're great. And the subs are one of the best mods you can do.

I already ordered...and a WHOLE lot more...my wifes' going to kill me...again. I might remove them anyway and have more adjustment. Be able to drop 1-1/2" lower now.
