headers and x-pipe installed
Well i just had my long tube bbk headers and my o/r x pipe installed...love the sound but just a lil bit too raspy..i heard that differnt mufflers would help and right now i have the flowmaster cat-back(came with car) i think its the 40 series..any better mufflers???thanks for any help...feel more power in the mid-range...:clap: ..well it seems like it......gears are next

i'll try to get a sound clip..i can't just buy mufflers? i have to get the whole system? ya if i can't get it to sound a lil bit better i will switch to the h.just a lil bit deeper is all i need....but i heard that the x is better for higher reving...

i put one on my friends GT with blowmasters (lol) and it sounds damn good...loud and drony...annoying yes but loud when u want to scare little children!
haha...we were cruising in it one night at the local town center and we came into like a street that was surrounded by big buildings and there was this little girl and her mom and dad...he revs it so loud and since we are in like a tunnel it eccos...the damn girl jumps like 2 feet in the air...the mom was like hey wtf kids...and the dad was just laughin!!

just got done driving around....has more mid range for sure but i am going to switch to an o/r h..everyone likes the sound but its tooooo raspy for me..but hey its new so i hope i can sell it for a good price on ebay

more rumble and less rasp starts at the midpipe. Change to an H for the sound you're looking for. X's will always be raspier than H's. I don't know how much your muffler selection will help until you address the basic note of the exhaust with an H pipe.
