why get a clutch if you don't need it? You're making stock power so the stocker is more than enough.

I'd do 3.73's and subframes.

True, i agree. Get a clutch later after beefing the HP and TQ up.

This is the most logical thing to do...why spend $$ where you don't need it. And you'll be wearing out an expensive clutch that isn't even yeilding its intended purpose or perfomance for your car.

well. I guess I will be the one to answer his damn question...CENTERFORCE DUAL FRICTION...Why? cause I have one and its teh best!

but ya ..I agree with what was said above.. lol

Just like the man said!:)

you get a clutch to match your power output. When you get a blower or nitrous then you can start worrying about clutch selection. I don't know that centerforce is the optimum choice for your application but, we'll burn that bridge when we get there.

The stock clutch will take all the NA power you're likely to send through it.

when yours needs to be replaced when it starts slipping.

I would also say dual friction i have one in my garage as well.

Nightcrawler GT 06-08-2006 02:56 PM

that why i ask for all opinion, its starting to slip so thats my first mod dudes.

leaning more towards dual friction.

r3dn3ck 06-08-2006 03:25 PM

key piece of info.. it's starting to slip. In whcih case, are you stuck to centerforce or are you game to other brands? Spec makes good models, so does McCloud, RAM, and several others.

In the centerforce line, dual friction. Lightweight models are generally reserved for more highly modified cars.

NoKturnaL 06-09-2006 03:13 AM

DO NOT BUY SPEC...I had the SPEC stage 1 clutch...and it chatter like no other! After about 3000 miles with it (alot of other mustangs owners can agree to this!).. I swaped it out with a Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch. I only have like 255HP at the wheels...and the drivebilty of the DF is great. Does not chatter and holds like no other.
