yaaaaaaaaaaa so im considering a shorty antenna---so basically my question to everyone with the shorty antenna already is Do you get bad/different/worse radio reception with the shorter antenna than with the huuuuuuuggeeeee stock one?

No problems at all with the 14". You can get them right here at Mustang Tuning....various sizes and colors. :punk:

I just cut mine to 12" and put the little ball back on. Looks great and works just like it did when it was full length.

You have to pull it off with pliars or something. It can be a bitch. Then cut the antenna, grind down the top a little, replace the ball, and you're good to go. Might want to repaint it if you scuffed it all up.

it really depend son where yer at. if yer more rural you might not want the 8incher.
i got the 8inch and never had a problem and i live on the outskirts of the denver metro area.

if you like in cow **** and nothing land then you might suffer some loss.

Use pliars but get a piece of paper towel to wrap around the ball and you wont **** it up.
