Whining noise!
There's a whining noise sometimes coming from inside my engine bay.(not my SC) Either when i turn or when brake EXTREMELY hard it will do it for a few minutes till i got back to normal driving. I can also feel a small vibration through my brake pedal.
This started happening when I installed my slp lineloc's and changed all my brake fluid. I don't have any sort of play in my brake pedal like air. Anyone know what this could be? |
Sounds like your brake fluid level is low..

SO when you turn the steering wheel the noise gets louder?
Did you just replace the belts. They might be on to tight. |
Or they may be loose. The brake booster on newer mustangs are a hydraulic booster(hydro-boost), it uses power steering pump pressure instead of vacuum. It makes sense when you turn the wheel you hear it, and also when you hit the brakes.
I guess your hearing the pump itself, or the belt itself is loose. Perhaps your tensioner needs replacement. Check your power steering fluid too. |
This is just a theory... somewhere i remember hearing, that the passenger rear brake pad can become stuck, or have some problems, check that one out and see if it is seizing up at all...

Spoke to a tech at our ford dealership, he said when i was doing my brakes and i had the car off, in neutral, in the air moving the wheels back and forth i got air in my power steering pump. Apparently it has a vent and when you move the wheels by hand it will suck pressure in through that vent...He gave me a list of things to do to have it bleed its self out, i'll try it tonite and let you guys know....This makes since cause it started right after i messed with my brakes about 3 months ago...Otherwise he said i have to get some kind of tool to bleed the power steering system out...
