Question 4.6 into a fox body???

I am getting a rolling chassis fox body and I was wondering if it is possible to put a 2003 mustang gt 4.6 engine and transmission into this car. I know everything is possible, but what kind of work has to go into this kind of project. It is just the chassis and body, its totally gutted and ready to go.

ecu change and substantial wiring harness changes, K-member change, and it'll be a tight squeeze (the 4.6 is as wide as a 460 so it just fits). It's actually a lot easier than it would seem but there's a good amount of detail work to deal with. Since you've got a gutted car, it'll be a lot easier as there's not much to rip out to begin with. Do it! You'll like it.

You'll have to deal with the brake booster too... IIRC the 4.6 interferes with the fox type boosters. I know of guys that have stuffed 5.4L 4V's into foxes so it's totally possible and not really super hard.

I know a lot of stangers that are more old-school modders so they're inclined to do things a bit more radically than the average joe. I'm a 5.4 zealot... I don't think the 4.6 ever had a place in the mustang but I'm that way.

Thanks for crippling us right out of the gate there FORD. A few more cubic inches and camaros wouldn't have anything to pick on but noooooooooo.
