Springs

Alright dudes, whats up.

My latest dilema. I was driving around the backroads today and there was a patch of cut away road about two feet wide. They had filled it with gravel but it had since washed away so there was about a 3 inch lip that I had to clear. I didn't even SEE it (because the gravel was the same color as the pavement) and the caution cone was off to the side. I hit it so hard (at about 30MPH) that my head unit came OFF, my CB microphone jumped out of the holder and hit me in the face, and I'm still looking for my iTrip.

Now, I have to make a 1,100 drive to Bowling Green, KY this summer for school, and will be making one or two trips home throughout the course of the year. I'm not really too fond of taking the mustang but oh well... but the springs are just too god damn low, and I KNOW I'm going to have a GRAND ol' time going through the Penn Turnpike and the NJ Turnpike with 18's on 275/35's with 3 inches of exhaust clearance.

I was thinking about beefing up to higher springs for the trips, like stocks. What do you guys think, any suggestions on other methods or brands?

dude your car looks sooooo good it would be a shame to raise it back up. but you gotta do what ya gotta do.
which springs are you running?

Depends on how much you wanna spend to keep the look and have the driveability. You can have both and not sacrifice performance or style.....

Switch to air ride like listed above or switch to a coilover kit. Its not worth the hassle of switching springs in and out...

Lets try to be reasonable... I don't have two grand to put in a whole new air-ride system. I'm 18 without a job and going to college in four months, lets bring the price range on down.

Lol sorry from the looks of your car it didnt really seem like budget was that important. If budget is important then the bests option would probably be to just put the stock springs back on. And if you dont have yours look for someone that you know who has replaced theres and buy there stock one. If thats not an option, never underestimate the power of a junkyard special :devil2:
