I have a 96 GT with LT headers, O/R X, Cat-back, Steeda CAI, Underdrives, and a chip. I'm doing a head/cam swap in about a month...(Further down the road I would like Nitrous, Ultimately I would like around 450hp). While I'm in there it would be a good time to do forged internals but, I have to ask do I need to.... When do you think it's necessary to upgrade to forged internals? Is there a roundabout HP number, surely there are lots of opinions.... I should have gotten a Cobra. How much HP on stock internals are you all running?

450 is around max for power on stock internals.
but because you are spraying it aka not going ot be pushing it all the time then you would most likly be fine. but if you can afford them i would do it. so basicly if you can afford to dot them do them if not then get a safe tune and should be good. but those fordged internals will take more abuse should you get bad gas etc....
