wheel spacers.....

Does anyone here use the 2" wheel spacer to set out the back wheels from under the car? I thought it would be an inexpensive way to get a wider stance in the back but i wondered if it was 100% safe.

I am using 1 inch spacers in the rear and they look perfect. I thing 2 inches would be too much, the tires would extend past the top of the fender lip. I have had no problems with my spacers so far. I will likley be going to a set of 10.5 deep dish wheels and 315 tires soon and then I will remove the spacers.

i think 2" might work better on my 97. the 99-04 rear wheels seem to be a little more flush with the fenders stock, from the back mine just looks weird like the tires are way underneath the car.

i have a 94 and i know what you mean.i think its the way the quarter panels bow out that creates this appearance.

Did you have to install longer studs? The ones i saw have the holes to bolt to your axle using existings studs and then they have new studs sticking out to bolt your wheels on.

what size did you get?

Yes I have 3" studs front and rear (its the rules) and depending on what kind of wheel you run you may have to put on longer studs. Something about those ones with studs attached doesn't sit well with me. I bought 1/2" ones. I wouldn't use spacers unless you have too..they are extremely hard on the bearing that supports the axle or the front hub.
