my stang has been leaking anti-freeze and i couldnt find where from...so i took it in and he just called me and said he thinks its internal and it may be a head gasket but he's not sure. so my question is do you know about how much that would cost to get replaced?

you can do it yourself if your good with reading and can fallow a manual otherwise your looking at a soild 400bucks atleast. ps- was your car blowing white smoke if not its not a head gasket more then likly. Only a blown head gasket would eat coolante and that would cuase white smoke. Could just be leaking from some other place. But that motor is known for the stock gaskets going bad and causing fluide loss.

Yea I had read about the motor today and all the problems with it. The guy at the shop said that he couldn't find anything externally. He thinks its internal then, he really doesn't know where from. He said my cooling system is pressurizing fast and he did a test for hydro-carbons (don't really know what this stuff means) and he didn't really find any. He check the oil to see if there was anything in that and didn't see anything. He said that things don't match up so it's hard to tell for him. I'm probably going to call/take it to a ford dealer.

There was no white smoke.

i have coolant leaking from the bottom of my overflow tank. its weird because there are no puddles on my driveway i guess it leaks when there is pressure. just a idea.

Make sure it isn't your crossover on your intake manifold near your thermostat. I never saw mine leaking from there until someone told me about the problem Mustangs have with that. If yours is all plastic I would check it out.
