Ok Wtf
OK my stang has been giving some hell this weekend......First off the IAC is doing the service engine soon thing again with the code P1506 which is Idle overspeed I think or something...anyways not that important...
This is.......... Drove a decent amount today and started to hear a more and more apparent sort of whistling noise. First it was barely noticable cruising to a stop not hitting the brakes. Not I can can hear it most of the time now. I've never come accross anything like this sound so i'm not sure what to make of it. I'm starting to think wheel bearings........crap |

deffinitely not the front bearings.........almost positive its coming from the rear though and it has progressively been getting worse narrowed it down to the passenger side rear so.....just hoping its the brakes

pull the tire off and check that stuff out its a simple 5 mins to see whats going on with it.

Pretty sure its one of my pads....i'm gonna take it in for a service.
|
Ok its not my pads.......I serviced my car the other day rebuilt the calipers new pads, rotors, and repacked the wheel bearings........still the squeal/whistling noise is there........any ideas?
|
i'm starting to think its not from the wheels now so what else could it be?
|
Repacked wheel bearings? Not sure you're supposed to pack them. Gear oil should be all you need.

I have a stupid whistle that comes from the plastic trim piece directly below my front window. It sounded like it was coming from the vents or something, but mine only whistles at interstate speed. The clips on it are bad or something, if I get out of the car and push on the plastic it will give a lot and squeak. Prob not your issue, but just thought I would throw it out there just in case.
