Motorcycle section.

It would be cool to have one here. Im not sure how many of us ride...but a bike section could be cool to chat it up about bikes and bike stuff.

zigzagg321 03-03-2010 10:52 PM

anyone? Dustin? Fishy?

Switch 03-04-2010 09:43 AM

I have nothing against it, but it's not up to me.

zigzagg321 03-04-2010 09:54 AM

well it would hurt for it to be there is my thinking.

WNRacing 03-04-2010 11:20 AM

There are Mustang Motorcycles?

Nah.. It wouldn't be too bad of an idea I don't think.. There are several people on here that have them.

actually it would take more effort to post in a new section because it would be further down the page, and id have to scroll more to get to it, or it would be in tiny ass print like all the other sub-forums and would still require more effort to use.

So lazyness has nothing to do with it. just thought Id mention it.

sheesh.

spike_africa 03-04-2010 07:21 PM

Dude I'm fucking with you.

Besides I have a cruiser, I'm the lazy one haha.

Though I have really been looking at 09-10 VMax's. I want one really bad!

haha...no shit. Now STFU, buy that badass VMax, and post pictures and vids of it in MB's new motorcycle section. :D

Then replace the ugly scoops and exhaust on the VMax and post more pictures and vids of it in the new MB motorcycle section.

Deathdiesel 03-05-2010 02:07 PM

zigzagg321 03-05-2010 02:17 PM

Deathdiesel 03-05-2010 02:20 PM

fuck a crotch rocket. Check out the Ninja650 or the ER6-N. Unless you race, clip-ons are a pointless ergonomic pain.

Deathdiesel 03-05-2010 03:13 PM

Yea thats what i was thinking. What do you mean clip ons?

zigzagg321 03-05-2010 03:28 PM

Your dirtbikes have handlebars, crotch rockets have clip-ons. My bike has handlebars. As do both of the bikes I suggested to you.

Deathdiesel 03-05-2010 09:45 PM

Clip on handlebars? sounds fuckin sketch. If id buy a bike itd most likely be a slighlty used never dropped ninja 650 or 650R

clip on handlebars? are you drunk? there are bikes with clipons and bikes with handlebars.

Google it for fucks sake if you dont understand the examples I gave you.

Clip-ons sketch? That is what is used on EVERY supersport(crotch-rocket) bike out there...every gsxr, every r6, r1, zx6r, zx10r, zx14r...etc...clip-ons are a part of what makes those bikes supersport bikes(crotch-rocket) in the first place.

Here...lemme hold your hand through the entire thing...

Clip-ons: http://www.moto-racing.co.uk/ccp51/m...Clip%20Ons.jpg

Handlebars: http://cjmoto.com/catalog/rizoma_handlebar_risers.jpg

I'll be getting more toys sometime.

My Sport Bike and Pocket Bike as well has Clip ons, but that first picture looks like a shitty verison. haha

Lets see if I can find a picture.
Couldn't really find one, but you can still tell the differnce.

+1
I was going to trade it to get a faster one, but I can't give it up. It's just like perfect for everything.
I was going to take new pictures, but I currently have it taken apart and painting it Black.

I'm thinking about doing a Undertail Exhaust or gut the exhaust.

Steeda97 03-07-2010 01:01 PM

I want a white gsxr-600

It was Flat Black with some mods.

You should get it or something else:D

Steeda97 03-07-2010 02:14 PM

I probably should buy one now that i have a garage to put it in..

zigzagg321 03-07-2010 02:58 PM

you going to take that bike to the track Steeda? Or do you want it because of the way it looks?

Those are great bikes, but if you just wanna cruise around, there's no point in spending that kind of $ for a track machine that wont see the track.

Steeda97 03-07-2010 03:44 PM

I love the look of it. The subtle design is amazing.

I wouldn't be taking it to the track. What do you recommend for just a cruiser?

Well, I do believe what I have is the best all around sport bike out there for the $. I say sport bike as opposed to a super sport bike (like a gsxr).

A ninja 650, ER6-N, Versys, FZ6, FZ6R, GSX650F. The yami's and suzuki have 4cyl motors, the kawi's have parallel twins.

Out of those bikes, the FZ6 is the most well equipped and powerful.

All of the bikes I listed have handlebars instead of clip-ons and are sporty enough and have a much friendlier riding position.

Dont get me wrong, lots of people, and I mean LOTS of people buy SS bikes and never use them for what they were designed for. The GSXR 600 could possibly be THE king of that trend. Its a badass bike though, no doubt.

It all depends on the person though too. You may not mind the leaned over riding position of a SS bike.

My point is, SS bikes are not designed for street use, not that they cant do street duty just fine, but you might want to consider a bike designed more for street use if you dont plan on taking the bike to the track.

If its just looks and street use you are looking for, and you like the Suzuki look, the GSX650F would be a better(and cheaper) choice for street riding than the GSXR600. People track the F too, but its got a much friendlier riding position, and will be plenty fast for the street.

Being uncomfortable on a bike is dangerous.

So if i were looking at buying a bike what would you guys recomend to a beginner, with having plenty of room to grow on, but without having to upgrade to a bigger bike. Preferably no larger than a 650, also preferably under $9,000. I dont intend to track it, just nice street fun.
