Finally got the graphs

4 Attachment(s)
I had to download the Dynojet performance eval program in order to read the results from saturdays dyno runs.

The first graph is the mach's baseline from apr'04 and the first run from saturday without the Diablo Predator tuner installed. I was pretty happy with the peak numbers from the baseline to current mods, but not happy with how lean it was running.

So, we loaded the default tune from the Predator. The second graph shows the default run and the final run we made after dumping fuel into the program. I just wanted to show ppl why its not a good idea to run with the boxed program. We lost a little bit of power and torque, but the A/F is all over the place and if I ran the mach that way, it wouldn't have lasted to long before some kind of major malfunction. The final run flattened the A/f ratio to a point where I was satisfied, though I still need to make a few more runs to tweak it a bit. I want the A/f on or below 13.0 and still keep it above 300 rwhp / 320 rwtq.

It looks like I start making power around 3.5k, max hp @ 5k which holds til around 6.3k. As for speed (in 4th gear), I max hp at 105 and stay steady til 135, then power drops off at that point.

Looks like I'll be doing the intake spacer mod to see if I gain any performance in the mid range, also going to change to mid-length headers instead of the shorty's I have now. Since the machs not my DD anymore, I'll be going with an o/r x-pipe as well. I foresee many days at the dyno in my near future.

I haven't prepped the graph for the GT, but it was actually 222 rwhp / 241 rwtq

ok..you got 2 nice cars that got good #'s. :beerchug:

Nice numbers man.....I bet your tuner can get some more power out of the mach by dropping the A/F ration to 12.5 and bumping up the time. I also have the intake spacer on the way so I'll let you know how it turns out. I probably won't get a dyno tune, but I'm more worried about the install....I heard the EGR is a pain in the butt, but other than that it's pretty easy.

I'm not sure if you want something to compare your dyno graph to, but I'll attach mine for you to see if there are any differences.....

Thanks jjtgiants, I did want some graphs to compare. I'm pretty set on dyno tuning my own car and have dedicated alot of research to that end, its just my nature, the need to understand better and adapt. I'm heading back to the dyno this weekend to bang on the mach a bit more, I know it would be cheaper to let someone tune it for me, but its hard to put a price on the knowledge and experience gained.
My plan for saturday was to dump fuel and increase timing a degree or 2 per run, great minds think alike. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Anytime man :breakdancesmilie: I have been comparing our two graphs and I find it very interesting that we both have a tiny dip in HP around 5,800rpms, but then recovers up until 6,300rpms....that's pretty interesting..Anyway, if you go to www.mach1registry.com there are quite a few mach dyno sheets with about the same power levels....that might also help your research. By the way I think it's really cool your doing your own tuning. Doing a lot of research and doing it yourself will be a great learning experience!

Not bad, not bad at all!

The Predator tunes are pretty bad. Theres no reason why your a/f shouldnt be nearly perfectly straight across the board and at 12.5.
