running an eight tonight what ya'll think i'll run?
ran 9.3929 @ 77.85 with the 17's and cai @ 88 deg 38% hum. new mods in sig...... projected 84 deg 25% humid. |
If all of those mod's are new you will go faster. I won't even guess though, too hard to tell. One thing is for sure you need some lighter wheels and some sticky tires.
You should deffinetly be faster than that. How are you hooking?
I'm getting bad times too, don't worry lol.
I pulled an 8.9 finally with a 60ft of 1.9, I definately think I could do better (I wasn't power shifting). I did this up in Benton, IL though. |
9.08 @ 79.33 2.17 60 ft used stock rims with old 245's on them hook up was decient but have to take off like a grandma at a stop light to get that 60
oh yea granny shifting pushin clutch al the way to the floor. and lettin off the gas |
lol your launch sounds about like mine, I can't hook for ****.. just gotta let it bog :(
i need you back tires and gears then......... okay let's go on a date so i can steal you tires......
lol, or not!
you know dinner, movie, some Alcohol. friends removing your rear tires.....
lol.. the drag radials only go on at the track, they're not my daily driving tires :) so if you want to break into my pool shed and steal them you can, but I have one mean beagle who might kick your ass that lives in there :)
naw i'd wisper sweet nothings of track times and car stats in your ear to try to get you to let me use them.....
lol, give me your fr500's and tires and you can have them
definitely get some gears man.
Just easing out of the throttle into a launch (2.19 60ft.) I ran 8.92 @81.9mph prior to Tune/Clutch/Flywheel/Driveshaft. I can't even describe the traction problems on the spray, and I have to slow shift it on the spray cause' im afraid of bouncing off the limiter on the nitrous without a window switch. 8.62@86.5mph low bottle pressure. Both times in 90* weather and moderate humidity. Drag racing just takes practice to hone the skills, and some good rubber doesn't hurt. Philip K. |
or just get an automatic like mine and you need no skills. 8.2's in the 1/8 on the Nitto's. It's all in the gears, tires and suspension.
