Cool drag season opened a couple weekends ago out here in germanland

im not overly impressed with how my car performed but i was stoked to see i made it in teh 12's with drag radials. the veterans of this particular track said nitto tires dont hook at the track and i will be lucky if i pull a 13 second pass. so a little bit about this track its an old taxiway for an air strip. this place used to be an active duty fighter base back yonder. the elevation is about 1000 ft and the track goes uphill slightly and most importantly this is an unprepped track. so, its like racing from a stop light

these were my fastest time for the weekend
R/T .316
60ft 1.918
1/8th 8.194 85.23 miles per hour
1/4 12.766 107.14 miles per hour

R/T .211
60ft 1.86
1/8th 8.285 85.88 miles per hour
1/4 12.774 106.89 miles per hour

look at my miles per hour its considerably slow for a 400hp car. i ran this car a few times in the states and pulled 115 trap speeds before. so im loosing some power on the big end. if i would of datalogged i would of found the problem but i think its due to a pegged MAF and im losing timing. my car started to bog real bad on the 2/3 shift and i think its the converter but i dont know. im still going to rip that thing out and send it to BC for a rebuild next track day isnt until late july plus race wars i have lots of time.

heres a pic of how much i heated the tires up...my buddy in the convertible ran a 12.6 with 18" rims with a 28" nitto drag radial with IRS

haha...i been on here forever too! i just dont post a whole lot. so i can see why you dont remember.

under the hood i have a vortech s-trim with 12# pulley, paxton cooler, 4" powerpipe, 75 TB, accufab plenum, tuned by Tim Barth at Modular Powerhouse. exhaust only bassanni O/R X, magnaflow cat back. drivetrain performance automatic street/strip tranny with upgraded shaft, lentech 3200 stall converter (doodo) and 3.73's. suspension wise maximum motorsport LCA's, steeda adjustable UCA's (they are set to -3 degrees), MM C/C plates, MM XL subframes (not installed!), MM bumpsteer kit, pro-kit springs, tokico bullitt struts and shocks. im looking to get my car more drag oriented in the next few months so more to come on suspension.

im thinking about getting Tony from HP to tune my car in a couple weeks he is flying to germany for a dyno day. 380 bucks for a re-tune hopefully he can tell me whats up with my converter lock up problems. right now my tunes are locked by tim so i cant adjust them, its annoying. i have one more slot open on my X-cal for another tune and will probably get tony to get me some more ponies from running more timing and from not having a pegged MAF after 5200 rpms.

Nice setup you got there. Yeah I knew you were a vortec car just didnt know what else you had. No fuel upgrades though? And for 380 thats not even a bad deal for a tune from a great tuner.

fuel upgrades are focus SVT pump, Kenne bell BAP set up to run off of boost and 42# injectors.

i wanted to get this army dudes 03 cobra tank with FORE hat and upgrded FPDM's since he was going to turbo and a sump for a return system but he said he didnt have enough time between coming back from afgahnistan and PCS'ng to the states. i will throw him the offer again when he gets back later this year. i need that tank for future plans
