Default 6/27/07 Track Report, 1st pass on the 100shot.

well i'm ashamed to say that Automatic cars might need atleast a little bit of skill to drag race..lol...anyways, i had a terrible night at the track, i was anxious to see what my car would of done with the 100shot pill...first off the nite started out crappy, the dang ambulance didnt show up until 8:30 or so, i thought the best of it and said "hey, longer cool down for my car".ok ambulance gets there i go to the staging lanes and they pair me off with this pro-stock chevelle(no mames)anyways did my burnout, armed nitrous, staged and green light hits im gone...and because i have an automatic i do my burnouts in L1,ok,by the time i know i hit the rev limiter(doh!!)of course lost alot of time there and slamed it into D and took off again, hit a 13.8 @ 105...i thought about calling it quits for the nite, but decided to run again...ok same thing, lined up against my buddy this time,so im less nervous...did a chitty burnout, but i had it in my head to put it back on D..burnout done, put it in D,armed nitrous, stage up...well took off but didnt hook for chit,i kinda lost it to the side almost going into the wall...got it straight and punched it again...this time hit a 13.2 @ 109, called it quits after that and went home...i looked over my 75shot best of a 12.4 and with the 60'foot that i busted out on the first one i think i couldve managed at least a 12.2-12.3,what yall think?

what stall you got in the car?

Looks like you didnt have much nitrous in the bottle. And how are you not getting traction on those welds?

I ask because i DEAD hooked with a 275/40/17 MT drag radial... with a unstalled auto, full-bolt on, comp 262 cammed, went 12.3 on 100 shot. My 60 ft every time and my best is a 1.9...

stock stall...i dunno, on the first run where i hit the REV Limiter i dead hooked, juicing it off the line but i did do a decent burnout...on the second run i didnt even see any smoke coming from the tires, and thats that i was burning out for a good 5-7sec....stalled it at 13-1500 with the nitrous armed and just spun on that run, i have the runs on vid if you care to see...? btw bottle was full and im also running a 275/50/15 Mickey Thompson Drag Radials.

Be carefull spraying off the line, spraying under 3k rpm's is danger to your motor.. and all that load is danger to your tranny, just FYI. I guess just try again... you'll get a good run in next time, just settle your nerves. I too have hit rev limiter in my auto many a time by leaving it in 1.

Dont worry my first time out with a 90shot i only went 13.1's@106 because i wasnt used to it yet. Took a few runs before i got it all settled in and working well. PS if your spinning so badly you need to heat up those tires a bit more. Or like Orlando speed world your track blows. Here they dont even spray VHT on test and tune nights whihc blows for traction, i have almost hit the wall a few times because of it. Keep on trying you will get it hooking up and see some sweet 60' times.

it happens man, sometimes you have good runs and sometimes it sucks. Its like working out you dont always add weight sometimes it sucks and you do less. I would heat them up like in the first video you did a good job on that and just let it rip. Looking forward to seeing some sweet times.
