Default So i just got killed.........

I hooked up with a buddy of mine with a 89 gt, he tells me it runs 12's...I said yeah im sure so hes like lets run it , so we went from a 30 roll in second gear and he pulled half a car on me,i got up to third however the road we were on soon quickly turned into one lane so i had to back off otherwise i would have wrecked. I do feel though if we could have kept going i could have pulled on him in 4th, because i was reeling him in a little bit before i backed off. My car runs 13.5/13.3's so there is no way he was in the 12's

Possile his car does run 12's on the track. Racing on the street doing a Honda race doesnt show what your car can really do, thats just BS racing. Run him from a dig at the track and see how it goes...might just be a 12 sec car out the hole!

ok so now im 1 for 1, just raced an evo and beat him by half a car from a 40 roll.....that thing was fast! i could hear his turbo everytime he shifted, and he went flying by me after i backed off...i pulled up next to him at the light and he was like" you impressed?" i said yeah man that thing flys and he took off the other direction....i can only wonder what would have happened from a dig

You have to remember a drag race is,most of the time won or lost in the frist 220 feet. BS racing tells you nothing.

I don't know man, EVO's run pretty freaking good in stock form....very low
13's and I think some dip into the high 12's stock. That's pretty good if you ask me.

90% of the EVO owners who race their cars DO NOT know how to launch them!!! Most think you can jus rev them up and dump the clutch cause they are AWD...well that doesnt work since they dont build boost that easy. If you get an EVO owner who knows how to launch his car...a STOCK one at that, you've got your hands full!
