Default Ran a 435whp 03 Cobra

Ok I was just out getting some dinner when I hear a loud mustang in the distance. So naturally I speed up to see what it is. Turns out hes stopped at the light and im pulling up right beside him! Its a black 03 Cobra!

Light turns green before I get there so he takes off and I pull up in 2nd gear. Seen him all lookin at the car and he punched it so did I. I figured the low end roots would hurt me on the bottom end but I had a nose on him all through second! Didnt seem to get much wheelspin finally! I was slow on the shift and he pulled up even with me. All through third I was hanging right next to him but we shutdown before the end of the gear. I just know that the centri would have owned him on the topend if we had kept on it.

So he pulls up next to me at a light trying to figure out what just happened. We pulled over and he showed me his. I thought that it would be stock since I hung with it so well. Turns out he had full 3" exhaust, CAI, bigger MAF, and some more stuff putting down 435whp @ 3700lbs. Man i cant wait till I get some gears then I could have owned him. Im still on stock TB and headers. I need to get it re-dynoed, can I assume its more than 370whp?

I think he was a crap driver and or blowing smoke up your ass about the 435hp. Assuming you gained 30 hp overnight is absolute poo.

His car already comes with a 90MM MAF. There would be no need for him to get a bigger 1 if he is only making 435rwhp. I think he was bsing you about mods.

No he was a good driver cause his shift was a little faster than mine. He was also on Nitto drag radials and I know for a fact the mods he has because I looked under his hood. He had the MAC straight shot CAI that comes with a bigger MAF housing. He also had a TB, pulley guard removed but appeared stock pulley, headers, offroad x-pipe, and 3" cat back. That setup puts down 435whp guys were not talking about a mustang GT this is an 03 cobra.

Oh the terminator can never be matched by a GT!

I was having bad belt stability problems before when I had it dynoed and the entire time ive had the blower. Never knew what it was. I put on a new belt tensioner and it runs awesome now. So actually, YES I could have gained 30hp overnight! Oh yea and I guess it makes no difference that I put on a plenum, powerpipe, bigger maf bracket, and bigger filter right? Those mods together people tell me only gain like 1hp....

I give you a gain of maybe 10hp if that. Only if you go by the ricer rule of the stick adds the hp.

I still think your full of it.

WTF does that do?

so now your car has better belt grip on the pulley so you are making more boost, correct. so since your car was tuned with a bad belt tension and you have since fixed this then that means you have more air and less fuel going in to your combustion chamber, correct? ima guess that your A/F has went up about a point from 5-6k rpms. leaner is meaner but is it worth a short block?

The bigger MAF bracket? Well its 10mm bigger than the one that was on there. I had the small 80mm bracket on the 90mm Lightning MAF. That means there is restriction and the filter was smaller also. So now it is freeflow through the MAF and bigger filter.

The tune they gave me was on the rich side because they knew beforehand what restrictions I had and that I was going to clear them up later. Its not a perfectly accurate tune by any means but there is enough fuel to keep it safe.

Howcome whenever I post things, the same guys come in telling me I dont know what im talking about or I didnt do what i said I did. I think your all full of yourselves and think you know it all but you guys just go off what other people tell you. You dont actually know jack. Ive been playin with stangs since you guys were in middle school.

Right..........and patriot heads are the greatest things since twinkies. Remember that one

More than half the time your information is misguided or so full of pure crap that your credibility is hindered and in the long run making you look bad. And thats pretty much getting down to the bone of things.
