Hey now, I just turned 22 and yet i'm not ordinary but I almost own my 01GTBlownt :) along with a baby. I have had had absolutely no help with mine either.

lol... well yeah, hell, i was making over 50k when i was 23, so i know it can be done, what just suprised me is a bunch of 20-21's in some sort of a class be it vocational or college, i dont know many people who go to school who can afford an 05gt, evo, or 350z. After taxes and dealer fees and stuff that is roughly a 30k car.

now, this is a lot of assumptions, but i dont know anyone who makes a lot of money and goes to school unless they have already established themselves and are simply furthering a career, but by the age of 21 there has not been much time to establish that level of financial stability or earning power where it is feasable to afford a 30k car, education, rent, bills, etc etc all at the same time unless the vehicle is a lease, in which it is stupid to do any modifications to it cause it is basically a rental.

so while it can be done, i would say 90% of the time it turns out the car was a gift from mommy and daddy.

Thats one of the reasons i dont care too much about other people having faster cars than me, especially those 18-22 yr old trash talking import lovers. Cause while thier car might be a bit faster than mine, i know that i earned and appreciate every single penny that -I- paid for my car, and chances are mommy and daddy bought thiers and they probably dont appreciate it for shit.

so im not trying to rag on all 20-22 year olds, but most people that age are still figuring out what they want to do and dont have the earning power on thier own to afford such a car.

i guess a lot of it depends on the deal they got

Wow you must of seen some really nice EVOs. My buddy has a new EVO and we tried all day to get it in high 12's, but it wasn't gonna happen. We did Mid 13's all day and that was with launching it like we stole it. Fun little cars though.....
