Stock SRT-4's are 14's so it would have to be modded to beat a modded mustang.
Fast cars are fast cars and no matter how fast you are there is some one who is faster.

Bragg, an Audi TT is a waste of time to even talk about beating. Not to mention they run a 14.6-15.6 in the 1/4 stock! 180hp-225hp also isnt much either and thats flywheel rated hp from Audi. I'm not trying to down you either Bragg, but i'm with MOTT the kid in the srt4 either doesnt know how to drive a turbo car very well or he wasnt trying as hard as you think. A BONE STOCK srt4 it pushing 260's FWHP, meaning if it's a good driver.....he should beat you. I've raced plenty of them when my '04 was stock and was beating them badly like you did...then i ran one and lost b/c the kid knew how to launch it and stayed right next to me then started easin away.
here's an example....03 cobra stock vs. 04 gt with minor mods. both launch at 4k, the cobra on a crappy street tire and the GT on a Drag radial....who's gonna be in front??? 9/10 the GT on tire. By 1/4 mark the cobra should have cuaght up...but the GT wins. The drivers switch cars and run again, this time the Cobra absolutly mops the gt.....all b/c of a good driver.

there not rated at 260FWHP..try 230FWHP..but they are light.

the '05 srt's put out 260ish FWHP i've dynoed several of them...trust me I was suprised too. The '04 ones only did 230ish. The only thing changed was the OEM wastegate spring.

I raced a srt4 today we both got onto the freeway and he was tailing me like a bitch so I snapped it back into 2nd at 60mph from third but forgot to turn off my traction control so my engine cut off power to the wheels then as soon as i regained my power an traction the srt4 blew by me. I caught up to him and was tailing him all the way there was traffic and we had to cut in and out and I couldve passed him given the chance but I just dont trust my car at highspeeds right now since my brakes need to be upgraded (I have all the parts but need to get them installed) before I do anything that might cause a disaster. Anyways, the srt4 was upgraded with exhaust BOV and possibly larger turbos. I know for a fact I couldve taken that thing on a straight without having to weave in and out of traffic.
Another story: yesterday I raced the new m5 from a light and he was ahead of me by about 2-3 feet after first because I wasn't expecting him to even want to race me. But then while I was in second I heard his engine starting to rev higher and then I guess we both floored it at the same time. In second gear I was able to catch up by that 2-3 feet and then from there on out we were dead even all the way to my maxed out 3rd gear going into 4th but we both had to break because it was a 2 lane street and there were cars in front at the next light. that was fun

Yea, Sadly those M5's arent no joke! Altho i dont think he had the "power" button engaged or he wasnt the best of driver. Those M3/M5 and M6's are fun cars to....found out that they have a "dyno mode" to where they can rev to like 9k!!!!
p3s7_01; As for running your saleen against a modded srt4....if he's upgraded to a 50-trim.......get a good look at his taillights up close. I'm sorry but you arent gonna catch him or beat him in a rolling race like you did. 400+hp in a car that weighs less than yours....yea im going with the neon ftw.
