Launch RPMS
what are you launching at? And specify what type of tires you r running.
I have Nitto DR's and my 60's have been horrible for those tires. WTF consistant 2.2's..and I been trying different launch methods. and no luck |

I launch on my ****ty ass GS-D3's at 2,000 RPM's and somehow manage to make it stick 75% of the time with a mild burnout. No one understands how its possible but neither do I. Thats on the street. I have pulled a couple of AWD cars on the street too. :punk: At the track 2.23 60ft's :bash: spinning 1st,2nd,3rd, and finally traction top of 3rd going into 4th. :bash: (Really ****ty prep job at track)

god you can smoke them in 2nd and third? what mods do you have done.
|
look at his sig..............
|
and you can see a blower thats it, your point?

With 245/45s I launched at 1500 (post superchips), 2nd @ 5000 or it would try to blow the tires off (looking at the wall through the windscreen sucks) and 6000 to 6200 3rd and fourth. Haven't been back with the 275 40s and bigger hoops, but the street launches can take more RPM now and the 2nd gear stuff can be done around 6000.

Nitto's need to be heated up more than BFG's or MT's. I ran mine at 18 psi and did a good long smokey burnout, even then they'd only hook 50 percent of the time. Best I ever got with them was 1.78.
