there are a couple of guys at my school that have some camaros rs that want to race me but i dont know if i can beat them since my car is kinda old.

 

RS's suck, The newer ones are v6s, you will beat them

not to brag or anything but ever since i got my 5.0 everyone at my school want to race me and i dont have that much gas it kinda sucks

man there are a couple of honda civics with lambo doors what kinda **** is that

 

82-92 rs's are either v6 or 305 throttle body injected, slow poo. 93 and up rs's are all v6, you'll win either way. The only 82-92 camaro you'll have to worry about are the 350 tpi's.

 

used to have a 91 rs 305 5.0 liter v8 5 spd carr...o yea i thought it was kinda fast...until i got the stang..this car would run circles round the camaro

 

I have 88 iroc 305 tpi auto, it will hang right next and pull some late 80's 5.0's with autos but usually loses to a manual. Like I have said before, the 80's camaros were quick for their day but are quite outdated powerwise now.

 

What year rs? My girlfriend had a 2002 v6 camaro for a while and it ran pretty good. You should have a lot more torque so you'll be fine

I had an 88 Camaro and a 91 Firebird. Both of them were tbi 305's. Trust me they were embarassing slow. heheh... I've driven a few tuned port 305s and they ran a little better but nothing to get excited about. The 350 tuned port ran pretty good but good Lord it should! hehe.. It's a friggin 350! Your 302 stang should beat those RS guys with no problem. I remember back in high school when the 5.0's would always be spanking the Camaro and Firebird guys and they would get mad. heheh... just race them dude. They won't wanna race you anymore.

 

the 305's are VERY slow, and teh 350's arnt that much better when they are stock.

the TPI falls on it's face after 5,000 rpms. I dont think you will have a problem at all

 

yeah well i finaly got to racing one of the cameros and yeah i beat him. I got him on the launch and by second i was about 1 car awayfrom him and then it just got ugly. and he didnt want to race me anymore i dont think that the other guy will want to race me anymore i shouldnt have beat him so bad
