SS bumper Inserts
 

Does anyone know if AM just sells just the tape for the SS bumper inserts? Im in need of it to put my SS inserts back on my bumper. Just wanted to make sure they sold them separably before i called in and made my order.

you can go get some heavy duty outdoor grade 3m doublesided adhesive tape. it is about 1/32 inch thick, sorta like super sticky rubber

thats what i used. worked great.

The tape peels off, once side is still stick and the other side has the backing.

get the tape, cut it into 4 inch lengths, line them up so they are touching close so they form a square like this.

take the SS insert, make sure it is clean then carefully lay it down on the square you made out of the tape.

use an exacto blade or a razor and cutt off all the excess tape, when yer done you should have perfectly fit tape on the backing.

pull off the backing and put the SS inserts on the way you did it th first time.


it is easy as hell and takes like 10 min,...

yeah I know but if the price is right then ill get them from AM otherwise ill do it your way. Ill try to call them tomorrow during my lunch for work.

We don't currently sell just the tape, the kits we have come with the 3M Bonding tape from the manufacturer. Autozone, PepBoys, etc. all sell 3M double sided adhesive bonding tape and body molding tape. Either will work. Just make sure it is the all weather stuff (grey adhesive with a red backing) and not the indoor (white with a white/green backing).
