well, got my chin spoiler and 8'' antenna today.. ordered last Thursday and got them today. pretty darn fast for free shipping!! Thanks AM!

(the hardware package...lol. guys, the nuts and bolts in there are total overkill!! lol.) nice that you include them though.

umm, just got em...not installed yet, Kevin.

Ordered thursday night...so it only took 3 business days for mine...friday, monday, got them tuesday(today)

maybe tomorrow. Im not gonna bother to do it at home when i have a lift and a billion gajillion tools at work. lol.

plus, im not going to use the gigantic and totally unnecessarily large and hefty fort knox front door hardware they sent. I literally lol'd when i looked at the bag.

Haha, I think you'll be the only person to resort to using a lift to put on the chin spoiler. Take a photo of the hardware they sent you, mine came with those common screw-tight plastic pushpins, if they switched to metal because they thought the plastic wasn't secure enough, I beg to differ since my chin was digging into the side of a ditch at 35mph. lol

+1 plastic clips for the lose, i used bolts and nuts.

No..what I'm saying is the plastic pushpins worked fine..the chin's still held in tight.


Your metal nuts and bolts add weight, plastic is lighter, WEIGHT REDUCTION FTW!!! lmao

I used bolts and nuts too because i didn't recieve enough pushpins. Make sure you guys use ones that don't rust....

Fawk no, i got 3 pos plastic clips with my chin spoiler, i got it direct from ford. Man, those POS sucked bawlz

then i had this kickass indoor/outdoor heavy grade double sided tape, i used that and it held tight for about a year, untill my dumbass buddy tried to park my mustang and pulled the nose over the curb.

so after that i went with some small nuts and bolts.

and yeah, honestly, if yer that worried about weight reduction you should just take a shit before you drive cause that will weight more than the nuts and bolts. lol.

The new metal install kit comes with our new Chin Spoilers that we recently developed. While still the same shape and size of the original MACH1 Style Chin Spoilers, the new material is about twice as thick as the OEM style spoilers and cures back to original shape after being folded up for shipping exponential faster. It is also much more resistant to impact and damage then the OEM material, and can even be easily prepped and painted to body color. Consequentially it is slightly heavier, and since some people do have problems with the Ford OEM plastic hardware on the old kits, we decided to go with the beefy hardware kit to ensure the permanent attachment! :D

my only complaint is that once lined up with the edge of the bumper, the spoiler isnt long enough to make it to the ends of the bumper. about 1/2 inch on both sides.

Did you guys stretch it? thats how i got mine perfect. I had a buddy hold it and then i did both of the ends first then when we got near the front he stretched it so it would be flush and everything worked perfect

yep and then the rear window is 15%

Heres my gap. Equal on both sides, not too noticable but kinda annoying. I didn't stretch it because i didn't wanna force fit it on there.

/\/\ same as mine. I didnt want to stretch it either, cause it warps in the middle when ya try to do that.

You gotta stretch out it to get it right, that's why I just left mine recessed in the middle.

nah, didnt take any. car is dirty and I dont feel like washing it. plus i got the gap on the sides, so I wont be taking any pics. sry man.

i cant fix it...the holes are already drilled. i just figured it was supposed to be like that. I think im just gonna take it off and pitch it.

Just install it with the sides flush and the middle recessed, the holes you drilled already shouldn't matter if you bolt it down tight enough.

Looks best flash in my opinion. But the small gap on the sides is so minimal its not even noticable really.
