Venom Nitrous now at MT

Hey guys, the boys at MT just added Venom Nitrous systems to their product line. They are very unique and safe kits. If anyone has any questions about how they work and are installed, please let me know. I have first-hand knowledge and spent a lot of time on the phone with the manufacturer.

MT has two kits available. They are similar, but have some differences. I will add to the thread later when I have some time explaining the differences.

how easy are they to install? how easy are they to take completely out in case warranty work is needed?

The Venom-1000 took me about two weeks to install working a little here and there. The hardest part, is figuring our where to put everything. If I had to do it again, I could do it in about 3 hours.

Taking it off and on for warrenty work, would be a real pain if you ask me. If anyone was really looking, I think signs that it was there would be pretty hard to hide.

Do I need anything else to run 100 shot on a 01'+ GT ?

I dont know if i'll have the money to buy my Kenne Bell this summer so i'm looking at nitrous kits. Plus, they are easy to sell if I change my mind in the middle of the summer hehe.

Do we need custom tune or something when using this kit ? Or like when are using a chip already tuned for 91 octane N/A.

Great question!

To run the Venom-1000 safe, you can use it on your stock tune with a 100 shot. You should also run high octane and one step colder plugs. If you have a chip DO NOT USE NITROUS IF THE CHIP HAS ADVANCED YOUR TIMING! If so, you need ot be on your stock tune! This means either by-passing the chip or pulling it out.

I have a separate nitrous tune that keeps my fuel trims "stock" but retards my timing by 1 degree just to be extra safe. However, I have sprayed the 100 shot with a bottle warmer on my stock tune with no signs of detonation (though the ambient temp was low at the time). I would anticipate having to use the nitrous tune more during the summer. Also, my nitrous tune automatically shuts off my traction control which is useful.

Thanks for the quick answer ! :)

Do you know the different between the Venom kit and the Nitrous Express kit ?

How do you activate your kit ? WOT switch ? Window Switch ?
