Default Centercap Issues

Is anyone else having this problem with their centercaps? It seems as if they don't seal right and water gets behind them, causing the silver areas to turn a blackish color. For some reason, it is a lot more noticeable in real life than it is in the pictures. The wheels have only been through 2 washes (in 1 week ), and they have been waxed and taken care of. I already called MT, and they are sending me 4 new centercaps, so I was wondering if anyone knew how to prevent this?

that sucks. hopefully that doesent continue.
I'd reccommend getting some silicone and putting a fine layer around the outsiide to prevent that from happening. i'd be worried if that happened on all 4 vs just 1 or 2. definatly... silicone

the only MT centercap i have is a single M cap from the replacement DD i bought. so.. dunno....
