predator tuner

I purchase the predator tuner for my 04 roush stage 2. I soon as I installed the predator tuner on my car I noticed the difference. Also, I noticed you can adujust different parameters like, fuel, timing, rev limiter, etc. I was wondering if it is safe to adjust the fuel and timing and if so, how much can I adjust without damaging my engine. My car is pretty much stock, other than magnaflow exhaust and cold air induction. Also, I live in CA so the highest ocatane available is 91. I would greatly appreaciate the info.
Thanks.

I thought on the roush you couldnt use the tuners. i guess im wrong. the fuel and timing are set with the tune. with 91 octane you might have to retard the timing and fuel by 10% if you start getting a knock. this is listed in the manul. any major changes should be done on a dyno w/ air fuel monitor.

Hello everyone, have a 04 gt. Was wondering, predator tuners state that they will increase gas milage. Is this actually true, and if so by how much? Gas prices are going up and up and was thinking about getting one anyway. Gas milage would just be a added plus. Anyone that can help, i would appreciate it.

Yes and no. If you granny shift any car, you will save on gas. If you are putting the pedal to the metal than no, you are not. Dont count on the predator to save you on gas millage. I have it, and no i dont see a difference in gas millage due to the tuner.

it's a GAS, it's a GAS!

I have one also, bought it only DAYS before MT started selling them. I noticed the difference in performance instantly. But I didn't buy it to get better gas mileage!

Now that's a stretch about the gas. Thing is, if you get 1-2 mph more, it is off-set by having to buy premium.

I am not the norm because most of my driving is highway but when I had the predator last summer and fall I would get 26-28 mpg highway and now I get 22-24. Not a hugh difference but it does add up.

Ok thanxs everyone, wasn't going to buy one just for gas milage anyway. More for the performance. I do believe you all have answered my question. And about
putting the pedal to the metal, well if i can't do that then why drive a mustang? Isn't that what we are suppose to do? Guess I'll have to trade her in for a focus
I THINK NOT! I'll suck it up.You have to pay to play right?

Any increase in fuel economy probably comes from leaning up the a/f. Thats where some of the hp increase comes from too.

That's the Purpose of "Pony Cars"
