Glad to see you guys have added Sumos to the product line up.
I've been running around on my Sumos for almost 4 months now, and can say they are great tires. Unfortunately, I got them before MT started carrying them. For such a low profile tire the ride is impressive, no more road noise than the BFG KDWS I had on the old 17" factory Bullitts. When warm, Sumos are very hard to get to break loose. I've run a couple of the mountain roads out here above the posted speed limit (wink, wink), and these tires hold the road impressively. The Sumos even do alright in the rain. Of course you have to drive with some common sense, but they grip just fine in wet conditions. Guess I know where I'm getting my next set of Sumos......

i have no traction with sumitomos and now that they are pretty much completely worn down the traction is 10x worse. if i shift at 4k rpms from second to third my car will go sideways. first to second i really have to baby it.
good thing i have a set of bfg drag radials sitting in the garage waiting to be put on! |

i have the regular htrz's and i thought they were decent when i first bought them but now... eh, i think its just my driving though. i barely remember what traction is with these now that they've worn.

Old thread I know, but just wanted to update it..
I'm STILL on the same Sumos as when I created this thread in April 06. I've put over 25K miles on these tires with not a single problem. I will be sticking with Sumos when I finally wear them out...

yeah for the price, you cant get a better tire. They have pretty good traction for road use, and arent bad at the track either.

I don't think the II's were ever made in that size. You must mean the HTRZ which they still carry.
