First of all you have to ask yourself this question! Is this gonna be a track car or a daily driver that might see track time? ...if its gonna be a track car go for it! If not than I sugges you go with some 4.10's if you don't already have them! Two things to consider..first of all you car doesn't have the enough RPM's to make good use of those gears...if you had a 4v,then it would be fine since DOHC are reving monsters! Second of all I hate to say it but your car needs to first make good power to make good use of those gears! The 96-98 came with non pi heads/cams/intake! So you should work on making some good power before you consider real steep gears! Also if you are planning on adding a power adder in the future 4.10's, 4.30's are too much gear! 3.73's are the perfect gears for power adder cars! ...I am not bashing your car in any way just giving you the heads up! Hope this helps with your decision!
