I love SLP!
If you want your new GT to sound like an old muscle car from the late 60's, YOU WANT SLP.
How loud is it? Loud. But, the catback by itself (stock headers and H pipe) is not too loud to be a daily driver and it is easy to drive quietly. Chris had an OR X pipe with his setup and that was insanely loud. But just the catback, is perfect if you ask me. I would say that is it twice as loud as FM 40's. Keep in mind, there are no baffles with the SLP.
I too have a vert and had the catback by itself for 4 months and now have a catted X pipe (SLP). It sounds great.
Regarding warrenty: Call your after-market warrenty company and ask them. Catbacks can void emissions related problems and rear-end and suspension problems. I know of one case where Ford would not fix a suspension problem because they claimed the added hp from the catback broke it.
Consider this, though, catbacks are the most common mod done probably and your local Ford dealer wants the warrenty work. Introduce yourself to the service manager and ask him. Many of these guys are cool and like cars too. If it were me and I was worried about warrenty, I not hesitate about a catback.
I paid a buddy with a lift $20.00 to put it on.
