Honestly I would not imagine that Steeda would inflate their numbers, but 10 hp increase is a little hard to swallow...

I don't know what to personally believe about CAI's. I do have one, so that certainly says that at one point, it made sense to me and they still do. I have always fealt that they were good for 5 - 10 hp on a near-stock GT.

Regarding numbers inflation: Companies are overly optimistic I think. When C&L first rolled out the pleum TB combo, they claimed 25 hp. Reality was more like 15. As you increase boost (say from adding a blower) the benefit of a CAI increases and I belive this si what is often times reflecdted on the high number.

Also, other mods might impact the power increases of a CAI. What is important is how all the mods work together and how your future plans might change. I am adding nitrous to my apllication, so a CAI should help more PLUS I need a metal intake pipe.
