The notchy-ness will calm down as you drive it and will be come smooth as silk. But the shifts will always be crisp and sure.

A trick to getting the stop bolts right is to slide a piece of paper down there and then move the shifter. With the trany in gear, you should be able to pull the paper out, BUT if you force the handle forward or backward (depending on the gear) it will grip the paper. This is a really good way to make sure you don't have the stops bolts too tight.
